Greetings

First and foremost, I'm a recruiter working with an independent recruiting firm. (Meaning I'm not attached a to particular firm or B/D) Now that I've got that out of the way, I want to let you all know I'm not here to fish leads. I'm here to provide my point of view to individuals who may not quite understand everything that entails a switch between firms.

Why? Well, because I enjoy networking and sharing my knowledge. Sometimes I feel that recruiters are given a bad name by some of the fleeting chop shop recruiting firms. I remember back in 2008 around the time of the crash, the number of financial headhunters nearly tripled. We're back to manageable levels because not just ANYONE can jump into this field and expect to be successful.

My field of knowledge lies with the independent route. I have had extensive experience recruiting to and from wire-houses in the past, but not so much these days... I feel the move to independence is both challenging and full of responsibilities, but very fruitful and rewarding as well.

Feel free to ask questions and pick my brain. I may not answer every question, because I am bound to privacy on many matters (not that I mind sharing anonymously) and I never know exactly who could be reading this and doing the math.
