Hey Everyone, 
My name is Ryan. I'm a licensed FA. I passed the Series 7 and 66 this year and have recently begun building my book. My office's business is mostly discretionary fee-based money management so its a little different than most offices out there. 

As most of you probably know, firms don't just grand discretionary authority to anyone. So right now, I'm just working on building my book of business while doing research on the markets for my boss. We don't do insurance or annuities. Mostly mutual funds and individual equities. 

I'm just looking to chat with different FAs and share ideas as I get into the business.

	You should consider changing your user name and location so you aren't so easily identified. Many firms don't want their FA's on forums. I am fairly close to your location by the way. What type of firm are you with?? Indy/wire/RIA??
