I’ve stalked the message boards for a few months before posting my intro. I’m licensed and in year 4 at one of the firms y’all like to joke on. My situation is very unique and its not lost on me. I started during COVID and came from outside the industry, found a way to make it work, grew a network and assets, made processes and qualified to open my own office and get an admin within the 15 months. I was gifted two RTP packages by retiring FA’s. My AUM went from $20M to $125M overnight. Its been an experience. I don’t take anything by for granted. Haven't lost a single client during the transition. my goals are to do right by people, not be an asshole, continue to grow it. I appreciate this forum simply because it reminds me that even though i don't drink the firm kool aid, theres plenty of others that feel the same. I also appreciate the candid external planning strategies and thoughts that help cut into thinking like the rest of the herd.

You'll do fine with those "gifts". Congrats! Several on this board (yes not all) will teach you a great deal if you take the time to listen. Challenge yourself to learn more than just from EJ or just sit there and work what you have a make a good living. You saved 20 years of pain growing it so it's your call.
